I never got to know Nanna Giles as much as I would have loved to. She always impressed me as witty, a real firecracker full of life and goodwill and love for her children and husband Bill.

Art had a birthday
it's true, November 29, 2013, Arthur turned 8. A symmetrical number, 2 cubed, etc etc. We had a gathering a week later further away from Thanksgiving. Fun times. I built a nice big cardboard maze in our basement (photos of that eventually). A highly entertaining thing for a bunch of kids. We asked them all to arrive in pajamas and a sleeping bag, had them watch a movie (The Croods). And Jessica cranked out a bunch of homeade pizza. Arthur is a great boy. A funny, sensitive, loving boy. I'm proud to be his Papa and I know Jessica is proud to be his Mama.

Lewis's birthday present for Art
