MOVIE MOVIE MOVIE

Image
Art's fourteen months old and has been doing a number of new things. On this five minute video you'll witness art stacking blocks (yes, that's right!), art playing in his first now (no kidding!), and art having fun in his castle (for real!). There is a link below to watch it via windows movie maker or YouTube. Click here for Windows Media File! Click here for YouTube!

DOUBLE the genious!

Not only does Art know how to feed himself with a spoon now, but he can feed himself with TWO spoons.

Hmm, that looks like a good one.

Art inspects my choice for a new board book for him at Minneapolis' massive new library downtown today. Jessica took this great photo (sorry I said you were embarrassing me, Jess!). She stood up on the bookshelf and really worked the situation just like a photographer oughta...

Fun when it's cold

Image
Here's a couple pictures of Art entertaining himself when it's cold. One on our front walk in his new shoes. He doesn't like walking in them so he mostly just stands. The other picture is at the local coffee shop that has a big play area. Lots of moms are usually there with their kids, but yesterday it was just the two of us.

Latest Signs of Intelligence

Lots of fun things to report. On Sunday Art used a spoon all by himself! He put it in the bowl of squash and brought it to his mouth to eat - all by himself! Yeah Art! He also thinks he can sweep with the dust broom. Today, when I was sweeping his lunch bits off the floor he made his "I want to do it" sound so I gave him the dustbroom and dustpan and swung them back and forth on the floor, looking very proud of himself. Then he went to the trash later and tried to throw the little broom away, just like Mommy. Well, I usually just throw the content of the dustpan, but it's kind of the same. Teeth number 7 and 8 are officially IN. If you give him some time while you're putting his pants on he will aim his feet into the legs. Lastly, Art will imitate certain kinds of sounds really well since he had tubes put in his ears a couple weeks ago. The first night after the tubes we were throwing things against the back door and I was saying, "Waaahhh Bpbpbp" an...

While Daddy's away we PLAY!

What do Art and I do all day? Well, we always have at least one outing. Today we had the car so we went to the Children's Museum, but usually we just go to a coffee shop or Walgreens. We always eat a snack in the afternoon. Here Art is enjoying shredded cheese and wiggling his finger over his lips to make the "Lblblblblbuh" sound. And we usually do some kind of housework, such as mowing the bedroom.

Hello PAPA!

Smart Art plays with his stacking rings and dumps them over all by himself.

Jessica chases Art round and round the house.

Art's Castle.

Uncle josh brought over a bunch of huge cardboard boxes and made Art a castle, complete with doors and a secret lookouts. He's been in and out of it all day. Thanks, Josh!

Happy Mama.
