These are some photos from the Hennepin County Fair we went to last week. All the rides were free after admission. Crazy fun. The boys went on this fun house thing with the mirrors a few times. Actually, she has been for more than two weeks and has got another week to go. It's been great having her around, helping with the kids. Tonight she's making possible a fun date night for us. Here she is making cookies with Netta:

So wonderful to send a little boy out into the world and to know he's having a pretty awesome time with his uncle and his nanna. My ma took these photos today of the trio sailing on Josh's boat.

The other night Arther's friend Archer came over for a sleepover. They played for a good long while, I took them to DQ for this tastiness and we all read books at home. Later Jessica went upstairs to check on them and Archer said he wanted to go home. "I just don't feel like I'm at home," he said wisely.

Next week Arthur and Lewis go to camp, their first time. A day camp called Kici Yapi from the YMCA. Sorta traditional but I think it'll super fun for them. I hope so anyway! On Thursday we went out for orientation with some friends   and got to do a few campy things as a test run of sorts (Lewis looks more impressive in this photo than his shot was in reality).

The other night Jess and I had a date night at  Ward 6 , her uncle Bob's amazing new restaurant. We found this friendly old man eating there, her uncle Dick. So many uncles.

Here Jessica sits with the girls on a lovely little bench from her mom. At left is our honeycrisp apple tree which we are hoping against hope that we actually get more than one apple this year!

Abigail Parker Nawrocki was born Saturday morning to Jessica's sister Emily and her husband Mike. 8 pounds 12 ounces. 20 inches. Our new niece, our childrens' new cousin. Here's some photos from our visit Sunday when she was a whopping 1 day old. Charlotte gets a good look at her sister. An expressive child.

Arthur and Lewis have been taking weekly swim classes for the past couple months and have made some real strides. Neither were comfortable going under water much before lessons, now they both prefer it. Both can swim on their own and, as seen here, jump off the diving board. They've gained a real comfort and ease in the water that I've long hoped for. It'll make their time at the lake lake and our July trip to the ocean a little easier. I'm happy for them and cheesily proud.
