Orchard Part I
We spent the day today at a wonderful little orchard/farm in Delano called Fall Harvest Orchard .
zoo tripping.
We went to the Como zoo today and saw a number of animals, including Art's favorite, the Zebras. As soon as we got out of the car until we made it to the Zebras: "Zeva? Zeva? Zeva?" We also saw Jessica's favorite, the giraffes.
Mushrooms!
We've had a lot of rain these last few weeks and I have become semi-obsessed with finding mushrooms in the neighborhood. Likewise, Art has also gotten excited about them. Here are five exapmples of the mushrooms we found on our recent mushroom walk. We actually found five completely different varieties in our yard the yards adjacent to us alone, not including the two that were on their way out. Within two blocks our count got up to ten varieties. Cool! When we got back from our mushroom walk this morning Art was being very clingy and annoying. He asked for his pacifier (Gackoo) and I told him it was in his bed and he had to get it himself. He went upstairs to get it and I called my mom for moral support since I hadn't slept well and he kept wanting me to do everything with him.
