Birthday Train Day

Image
Well, Art is two today (!) and I am happy to say that he is a happy, healthy BOY. He is all boy. He loves trucks and fire engines and trains. This was a TRAIN DAY - Ben got a great train set for Art with construction vehicles and an airstrip and all sorts of fun parts and Art and I went to the Model Train Museum, a huge room with the biggest model train.... 'set' is not the word... WORLD is more like it. It had replicas of old Minneapolis, a few towns from the fifties, back when the streetcars were still running in the TWin Cities, had a Mississippi River with a ferry boat that had the coolest looking fake wake behind it, and five or six trains running around this huge, expansive layout. I was totally distracted by how cool the whole thing was and didn't really get agood picture of Art, but it doesn't matter. He was totally focused on the trains, too, and probably would not have looked at the camera anyway. Check it out!!! We started our day making blueberry muff...

"I need a fork."

We sat down to dinner and that's what Arthur said. A complete sentence. It awesome.

I like noodles!

That's what Art said at dinner tonight!  That's the first time I've heard him say he liked something all on his own!  Unfortunately, despite my best attempts to explain he still thinks that "Nanna on the airplane."

a little video!

Long Flight

So, Nanna visted last weekend and when she left we told Art she was going home on the airplane. Well, according to Art she is still on the airplane. "Nanna - airplane", he says. I guess home on the airplane kinda' sounded like home in the airplane.

check this out.
