Not a baby anymore.
Well, Art is moving past babyhood more and more now as he's trying to say more words. He's working "s", which comes out more like a spitty "sth", but he uses it for "yocks" (blocks) and "yosth" (yes). So I'm really excited to start hearing him talk, but I'm also sad to leave his babyhood behind. More things that he is up to lately: He's mastered the shape sorter. He barely has to think before he puts the triangle in the trangle hole, the cylander in the round hole. Putting on shoes. He likes to put his feet in grown-up shoes and bring the shoes for other people to put on. Pulling himself onto furniture. He likes to get himself up on the couch, the coffee table, the dining room chairs. He likes to do it just because he can. Going outside. He would probably spend all day outside if he could. He'd skip naps and meals just to keep playing outside - dumping sand on his legs, filling up buckets and emptying them, pushin...
Yes yes yes.
Art can sign 'yes' now with a full body nod. As jessica said, this is a great thing, a huge step forward for his communication. We can ask him all sorts of things and he'll actually reply with a no (massive head shake side to side) or a yes (clumsy full body nod forward and back). It's great!

Art ate a baby!
We were in baby class recently and are noticed a particularly succulent looking baby. We tried to stop him but by the time we could, he had downed the entire little girl. So sad!
Tickling glove video!
Art had to see the doctor for an ear infection while in florida. During a our loooong wait for the doctor we entertained art with a rubber glove by tickling him with it. And then, he tickled us. so funny. Tickle Glove video
