Halloween 2017!

Image
From left, a pirate, Robin Hood, a dragon warrior, and Poseidon. Jessica  and the children are responsible for all this wonderful cleverness. Look at that beard! So funny. And Jessica as an amazing scarecrow.

Some photos from a quick overnight trip south.

It was MEA weekend and we split for a couple days, to  Nerstrand Big Woods State Park and Mystery Cave State Park. Some photos! Bailey, proudly treed. Netta, reluctantly treed. Papa giving Lewis a blind walk in the woods. Art taking a bath, a FOREST BATH! Brothers conversing and feeling some love. Inside the cave, hearing interesting things from friendly park ranger. Overlooking and overlook. Really neat fossil of incredibly super amazingly old sea creature.

Something beautiful we saw last night

Some of the inspired puppetry and fire at tonight’s BareBones Halloween show on the Mississippi in St Paul. It was our first time and it was really quite wonderful — gave our whole family some big feelings about life and death and FIRE! #bicyclepoweredbioluminescentcolossalcephalopod A post shared by Ben Garvin (@bengarvin) on Oct 22, 2017 at 8:06pm PDT //platform.instagram.com/en_US/embeds.js

Saturday of late have been busy with three soccer games, Lewis', Art's and Bailey and Netta's. And it's fun watching. Sharing some photos from a couple of them here, including Lewis's game where he singular job was playing defense and BOOTING the ball to the other field. He's not the best ball handler but he has the strongest leg on the team and can whack it hard. It's fun to watch him do it over and over :) And more photos from his game: This is Lewis' good friend Josh looking AWESOME. And some photos from Bailey and Netta in their first soccer game ever. They aren't aggressive, or that good really, but they're learning and super brave for playing, especially cause they're the youngest on the team AND the only girls.
