Grocery Store

Image
This was a successful grocery store run. I made it in and out super fast! Lewis ate strawberries by the handful and when he was done/I cut him off I put him in the baby backpack and finished the shop. I like how focused he is here. -Jess

This is a little celebration of our 1,000th post on FollowArt. This was our first: November 29, 2005 Art's first day of life.

"Take a picture of the ants, Papa."

Almost every time we go on a walk or bike ride around the block, art will stop quickly, jump of his bike, and study an anthill. Yesterday he asked I take a picture.

ACK! Hide your step-ladders!

Lewis would like nothing more than to climb up and stand on the top step.  He does it around here whenever I'm not looking.  (If you need something high at my house you will have to turn our step-stool over.  It's upside down to prevent Lewis from any more shenanigans.)

May Day parade

Image
Yesterday was the infamous Heart of the Beast Puppet Theater May Day Parade!  A celebration of spring, liberal ideas and all things granola/crunchy!  Mom took care of Lewis and Art and I had a "special time", just the two of us.  I rode us over to the parade on the bike and darn, do I wish I had a picture of the dozens of bikes locked up to the same fence we were locked up to.  Anyway, the parade theme was, "This is our econmony.  Dig it!" or something like that.  I didn't have a program so I could really make sense of all the esoteric sections.  I don't really know what these pigs are about.  But they were fun! Art and I had a great spot, right on the pavement with no one in front of us so we could see everything really well.  We stayed for nearly the whole parade - over an hour and a half!  We left when Art had to pee and the long stretch of politians and their supporters were coming through.  Local liberal celebrities like our mayor R.T. Rybak, State Rep ...

Let me in.
